Concerning the initiatives that protect retail customers, the communication released by CONSOB on the 22nd of December 2014 brought forward a number of MIFID 2 elements for early enactment. In particular, the CONSOB text strongly regulated the retailisation process, that is the distribution of investment products to retail customers that were previously intended only for institutional or professional investors. Nell’ambito delle iniziative a tutela della clientela al dettaglio (la cosiddetta clientela retail), attraverso una comunicazione del 22 dicembre 2014 la CONSOB ha voluto anticipare alcuni elementi della MIFID 2 e in particolare ha voluto regolamentare in modo più forte il processo di retailisation, ovvero la distribuzione alla clientela al dettaglio di prodotti di investimento prima destinati ai soli investitori istituzionali o professionali.
